University of Saskatchewan Cherry Day

The University of Saskatchewan Fruit Program is offering a Cherry Field Day on Thursday 10 August 2017 starting at 10 am,
It will be at the U of S Hort Research Fields, 2909 14th St E., Saskatoon
Cost $25 plus $5 if you want pizza
In the morning a demonstration of mechanical harvesting and pitting of cherries is planned along with taste testing some of the new varieties that may be released in a few year. After lunch a variety of cherry growing issues will be discussed. Bring your questions.
